Certificate in Primary Care Clinical Sexually Transmitted Infections Course

Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) remain a significant global public health concern, impacting individuals and healthcare systems worldwide. The rising trend of STIs highlights ongoing challenges in prevention and control. Primary care doctors play a vital role in addressing these challenges by integrating STI prevention, screening, treatment, and education into routine care, ultimately helping to reduce the burden of STIs and improve public health outcomes.
Recognizing the need to strengthen STI management in primary care, the Bangrak STIs Center, in collaboration with the Academy of Family Physicians of Malaysia (AFPM) with support from Thai Medical Society for the Study of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (TMSSTD), has successfully established an international short course in STIs. This course is specifically designed for General Practitioners from Malaysia completed STI course with AFPM.
In the Certificate in Primary Care Clinical Sexually Transmitted Infections, the course continues to span two weeks for Malaysian doctors enrolling in first Primary Care modules. Completing this program in Thailand qualifies participants for The Post Graduate Professional Certificate in Primary Care Sexually Transmitted Infections, awarded by AFPM. Notably, all Malaysian candidates should go through the course with AFPM and then proceed for the course with TMSSTD.
The upcoming Certificate in Primary Care Clinical STIs for 2025 is scheduled to take place from May 19 – May 30, 2025.

Applicant ‘s qualifications:
1. Doctor of Medicine graduation with complete Medical license
